Price: NZ1370 AU1220 £620 €750 C$1160 US$1140
From Wellington we board our ferry to the South Island. Our first stop is in Marlborough where New Zealand’s award winning wines are produced; sample some of the wines before we drive along the beautiful East Coast to Kaikoura. Take time out in Christchurch before making our way to Dunedin which boasts the world’s steepest street. Continuing south we make our way to Te Anau and Milford Sound. Queenstown, backed by the Remarkables’ Range, enjoys one of the most scenic settings in the world. We head to the wild West Coast to Fox and Franz Glaciers with a stop at Arrowtown, one of the best preserved gold mining towns in the area. From the Glaciers we make our way up the West Coast to Abel Tasman NP stopping en route to take in the limestone rock formations of Punakaiki. Abel Tasman is the smallest of New Zealand’s National Parks but the scenery is endless. Once again we board our ferry to cross the Cook Straight to Wellington.
