Days New Zealand: Auckland to AucklandTour Type: Overland Camping
This New Zealand tour takes in the sites down the East Coast of the North Island. Departing Auckland we cross over to the rugged coastline of the Coromandel Peninsula to Hahei. where we visit Cathedral Cove and Hot Water Beach. We then continue to travel down the Peninsula to Rotorua, the cultural and geothermal capital of New Zealand. Here you can learn about Maori culture and enjoy an evening filled with song, dance, and a traditional meal. We make our way south east past Lake Taupo to Hawkes Bay. Hawkes Bay is New Zealand’s oldest wine region; where we go on a wine tasting tour or you can take an early morning balloon flight over the wineries and amazing landscape. From Napier’s art deco lined streets to Cape Kidnappers Gannett Colony there is plenty to do. We now wind our way down past the Tararua Ranges to Wellington, New Zealands' capital, and your final destination.
