WINERY BIKE TOUR

A cycling experience giving visitors the opportunity to enjoy tasting some of Hawkes Bay's finest foods and wines, while at the same time, taking in the
superb scenery of the Ngatarawa Triangle. Cycle past vineyards, olive groves, orchards, horse studs, and farmland - all
on flat terrain with wonderful vistas. The longest ride is 35km, but fewer wineries can be visited, less distance
travelled, and a more leisurely pace taken, to soak up the sun and enjoy the
ambiance of the wineries and surrounding countryside. It is a fun and healthy way to see and enjoy the countryside that is the
world-renowned Ngatarawa Triangle grape growing region on the scenic Heretaunga
Plains in Hawkes Bay. The cycling experience includes the Gimblett Gravels
appellation. You can choose a wine tour route to match your level of fitness - 2 hours, 4 hours, 5 hours or 7 hours . Generally up to seven
wineries can be visited on a self-guided tour using a map provided. All offer
the opportunity to taste the wines and have outside seating where you can
enjoy the superb settings before moving on. Some cycling is 'off-road' through vineyards and olive
groves.
